Parking Guidance System (PGS)
BGIL’s Parking Guidance System is one of the most modern and profitable systems around the world. It is suitable for those public indoor parking lots in office building, shopping mall, railway station, airport and hotel, which helps to raise the utilization ratio of parking spaces, strengthen the management and reduce the management cost. Due to its modular structure, the system can be extended any time, but also subsequently installed or grown with the extension of the parking lot. Parking Guidance Solution consists of three parts: data acquisition system, real-time processing database system and information releasing system. Occupancy of individual parking spaces is monitored by ultrasonic detectors and transmitted to the control center. Arrow displays and special symbols immediately show drivers the right way to free parking space. The management software visualizes the entire parking spaces by large LED display, performs statistical evaluations and directly intervenes in the system, for example, to reserve a parking space, to manually control zone displays or to monitor the parking time of each parking space.

Ultrasonic Sensors work on a principle similar to radar or sonar which evaluate attributes of a target by interpreting the echoes from radio or sound waves respectively. Ultrasonic sensors are used to detect the presence of a vehicle in a bay. When they detect the presence of a vehicle they send the signals to the central system to trigger the LED indicators to indicate the parking bay as occupied.
LED indicators are installed in each parking bay in the parking guidance system. They have RED and green signals. They are green when a parking bay is empty and they turn red when a parking bay is occupied. They can be controlled from a central location.
Communication controllers are vital components of parking guidance system. These controllers are placed in zones and floors. These controllers control all the field device like sensors, indicators and displays. They can monitor and change the status of all the devices.
Guidance displays are used to guide the driver to take the car towards an empty parking bay. They are basically direction sighs which keep on changing depending upon the available parking bays. They direct the cars towards right, left or straight.
